| This beautiful STERLING SFR-300PK pink double french horn is the perfect choice for a student or intermediate player. This horn is brand new and has never been played.
The double horn combines two instruments into a single frame: the original horn in F, and a second, higher horn keyed in B-flat. By using a fourth valve (operated by the thumb), the horn player can quickly switch from the deep, warm tones of the F horn to the higher, brighter tones of the B-flat horn.
Its conical bore is largely responsible for its characteristic tone, often described as "mellow". This model horn has accurate intonation and comfortable, quick response. The SFR-300 is a Kruspe style horn with medium-large throat for moderate resistance to air flow.
Complete with a hard, canvas-finish carry case, cleaning cloth and mouthpiece, this unique french horn is a great instrument. Great for the student or intermediate player, or just as someting different, this horn is a fantastic buy!
