Engraved by Pierre Tardieu.  Published Paris 1803

An attractive and highly detailed copper engraved antique map of South America  Enhanced by outline hand colouring. 

Interestingly the map is dated primarily as year XI,  the 11th year under the French Revolutionary Calendar, which ran for 12 years after the revolution.

Centre foldline as issued.  Fine condtion.

 Approx. 16.5" x 13" (420mm x 330mm) map area only, with good margins beyond.  Would frame up well.  Please scroll right down for further images.
