Designed with the latest high definition content in mind, the STR-DA6400ES will squeeze the very best of Blu-ray, DVD and high definition TV services such as Freesat. With no less than 6 HDMI inputs and dual Faroudja DCDi Cinema image processors, the 6400ES will convert and upscale video from all inputs to full HD 1080p resolutions for output via 1 of the 2 HDMI outputs. It will even upscale standard definition content to 1080i in a second room. The dual HDMI outputs are also ideal for those with both an HD-Ready flatscreen and a projector - now they can both be connected via HDMI. Plus, a host of additional inputs means that you'll be able to connect all your devices.
The STRDA6400 is not only a master of HD video, but HD audio too. It will decode all the popular high definition formats; DTS-HD, Dolby True HD and Dolby Digital Plus. Play your Blu-ray movies in glorious high definition 7.1 channel surround sound. Plus, with Sony's DLL (Digital Legato Linear) system, you'll hear the purest and cleanest audio reproduction from compressed audio sources too - perfect if you have a big MP3 collection.
As a complete home entertainment hub, the 6400 also features advanced networking functions, allowing you to connect the receiver to your home network to receive Internet radio stations and even stream movies, music and photos from DLNA devices such as computers or Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices.
