This piece is hand made by highly skilled and expert craftsmen in Indonesia, with 20 years+ experience in the manufacture and export of furniture products to the West.
The hardwood is a native Indonesian hardwood called "Bayur": this is very similar in appearance and texture to European oak. While many inferior quality products use an oak veneer or engineered wood, this item is completely solid in its construction with only a single native hardwood used in its construction.
Unlike many of our competitors, none of our items are in any way "seconds" or factory "rejects": this is a custom-made piece of solid Indonesian hardwood furniture, produced to the highest standards.
The timber used to produce this piece has been seasoned, kiln-dried and further air-dried to ensure the highest possible quality. The beautiful natural texture of this hardwood is enhanced by a light handwaxed coating and finishing.
This is a fully assembled piece, not flatpacked in any way: solid Indonesian hardwood used throughout.
