SMITHS-VERNON WARD-'MOUSEHOLE' Mantle Clock -SOUTHPORT

This mantle clock is by SMITHS 'Made in England' and features a background picture by VERNON WARD of the Harbour at 'Mousehole.

The underneath the bottom of the clock carries the insignia of HARBOUR.

The clock is in PRISTINE condition and full working order - the wood is in mint condition - NO SCRATCHES, NO DENTS, NO DAMAGE and all the rear screws are mint condition having never been opened or used. The woodwork surround which has been apparently hand carved has also been hand finished and has Art Nouveau influence.

The width of the clock at the base is Eleven and half inches with the depth at the base being two and a half inches with the clock height being nine and a half inches. The depth of the main clock is one and a quarter inches. The glass front is mint condition, no scrathes, do fading - just mint

The Smiths wind up movement is housed in its own bezel and is NOT overwound and works correctly, keeping perfect time.

The highly coloured face picture is by VERNON WARD and pictures seagulls and sailing ships inside the HARBOUR at 'Mousehole'.

No fading, No damage to the picture and no scratching by the fingers to the picture - just a MINT CONDITION clock purchased from PIDDUCKS of SOUTHPORT, LANCASHIRE in the late 1950's by my family so is some 50 years of age.
