What is smart repair?
SMART repairs (Small to Medium Area Repair Technology) to vehicles include bumper scuffs, mirror casings, vandal scratches, dents and alloy wheels are generally a lot cheaper to the customer than a body shop and take a fraction of the time.
What is the difference between water based and solvent systems?
As of December 31st 2006 it is now illegal to import solvent based paints into the uk due to new EEC rullings.Therefore all suppliers of solvent based paints have stocked up.Some SMART repairers still use this ...but stocks WILL run out soon !!!!

What is it?
This is a new business and can be located anywhere within the UK. This could be run from a small van such as a Ford transit connect/Fiat doblo size, from a bigger van or even from a static site. People have even run these systems from the boot of a small hatchback car. The vehicle is not included in the sale price, but a small van can be found for a small outlay on ebay auto trader etc

What will i learn ?
Over the course of 6 days you will practice the repair of:
Bumper scuffs to coloured bumpers
Bumper scuffs to textured bumpers
Scuffs to mirror casings
Colour coding of plastic trim
Small dent filling
Scratches to panels
Larger area repairs
As all our training packages are 1:1 there will be NO watching of repairs you will be expected to perform all the paintwork repairs, but under supervison of course !!!!
We will also discuss the finer points of business development , marketing , generating work both through private and motor trade avenues and generally how to maximise your business
What is the difference between the 4 & 6 day course?
Vandal scatrches and repairs to panels equate to about 35 percent of the weekly business and therefore the time taken to train or to learn the basics is about 2 days panel repairs are also not performed by many smart repair companies as they tend to take longer and require a a a little more consumables
however a bumper scuff is charged @ £85 for 2-3 hours work a panel repair is charged @ £125 or more and requires possibly only 1 more hour
Therefore we are offering various courses and this is the reason for the extra outlay cost.
In other words this course will hopefully make you more money per day as
lots of SMART companies perform bumper repairs......only a handfull and a very expensive bodyshops will be able to repair a panel
creating a very good market for your services.....with more profit !!

Originally set up a as a single operator business 7 years ago we have now progressed through our own multi van operation into training services and have sucessfully trained over 17 people in the last year using this exact format into the Smart repair business.
We are also the only known smart repair training company to still operate a local SMART repair business so we can still test all equipment and new products before you get them allowing us to see what work in 30mph gusting gales.We will not supply products or consumables we dont already use for our own repairs.
Many of our trainees have had little or no previous expeience of vehicle repairs and include van drivers, painters and decorators, shop workers, clerical staff and car valeters.
