The only real damage on this is on the rim ( see photo )
All the shell pieces ( I am not sure which shell or even if this is imitation )  are intact apart from some very small nibles in the corners. There are no markings on this
so I am not sure of the age. the small handle unscrews from lid.
The base  inside and out is machined ( like a compact )
