This adapter fits most of the hand held radios like Yaesu VX-1R, VX-2R, VX-3R, VX-5R, VX-6R, VX-7R, Vertex Standard VXA-710, Kenwood and Icom. It converts the SMA "screw on type" aerial output socket to a BNC type plug or aerial. It has HIGH sensitivity and wouldn't affect the power of your radio.
