A vintage, fully Hallmarked, English Silver thimble, made by Henry Griffiths & Son. The condition is quite good. There are no needle holes or other damage. The base rim through usage is out of round, or finger shaped. The Hallmark is worn, but offers the following information. HG&S for Henry Griffiths Son. Anchor, being the Birmingham assay office. Lion Passant, denoting English Sterling Silver. Upper register A date letter for 1925. A plain base rim holding the stamps. The remainder of the thimble is covered in the Daisy Head design. It measures 22. mm. high, with a base diameter of 16. mm. Very fair condition for 83 years old.
