What can we say about Shinco. T3 Magazine continues to rave about them (see September 2005). Their price is phenomenal (T3's words, not ours).  They never come back with faults. They look fantastic. Forget the 2.5" and 3.5" screens. The PMP-1700 has a full 7" wide format TFT LCD screen, a 40Gb internal hard drive, and a whole bunch of other media supported. You can watch MPEG2, MPEG4, AVI and DivX and DivX Pro formats for video, listen to MP3, WMA and OGG for music, and look at Jpeg images. Record from TV, PC DVD player etc, and enjoy the results on a screen that is nothing short of exceptional. The quality carrying case can be used simply as a carry case, or behind one or between 2 car seats, and has pockets for accessories and other stuff. And a nice touch on all Shinco's is 2 earphone sockets so you and the mother in law can watch and listen at the same time. The user interface of the PMP-1700 is friendly and designed to let you get the best out of this all in one media portable media centre. And it looks gorgeous. The Shinco that is.
