REGINAL DANIEL SHERRIN
ORIGINAL WATERCOLOUR GOUACHE SEASCAPE
Reginal Daniel Sherrin (1891 - 1971)
Sherrin was born at Seasalter near Whitstable, Kent, on the 5th. April 1891. He served in the First World War and worked in a munitions factory in Rochester in the Second World War. He was the son of Daniel Sherrin and grandson of John Sherrin, both well known artists and moved to Devon in 1953. Sherrin worked mainly in gouache and watercolour on sea and landscapes.

Watercolour heightened with bodycolour.
Painting comes framed and glazed.
Slight damage to the decorative gilt border of the frame.

Painting looks to be in its original frame and has not been removed with original retail label to the reverse - Jack Foster, Newton Abbot.
Overall a super seascape from this particularly sought after artist and a painting which would make a terrific addition to any collection.
