EXPLORING SHERBORNE (Dorset)

By Gerald Pitman, 1st edition published 1966

This book consists of 84 pages of local information and history including a double page street plan originally produced in 1803 from a survey taken in 1735. The text describes the buildings and the town, many individual houses, street by street and around highways & byways. Text includes architectural details and a few illustrations. A fascinating local history study.

Published by The Abbey Press, Sherborne, First edition July 1966.  

Stiff card covered booklet, 84 pages plus cover, size approx 14cm x 22cm. Overall good condition, clean, contents good, corners good, staples spine tight. Minor shelf wear.

An excellent item for the local historian, family history researcher and collector.
