We are offering for sale this beautiful set of Sheffield Cutlery.  The design is called "Old English" and it is the very oldest of all the traditional cutlery designs. The knives have hollow handles and feel wonderful to hold.  The handles are hollow, indicating high quality cutlery, and the blades are made of the finest Sheffield Steel and are etched with the Sheffield Crown.  The cutlery is made of high quality stainless steel and is dishwasher safe.

The cutlery is brand new in bags (apart from the knives which have had them removed in order to fit into the canteen.  The unique design of Old English cutlery has the "Pip"design feature  at the front of the forks and knives and at the back of the spoons. This is because, in times gone by ,the way to set the table was to place the spoons with the concave part of the bowl facing downwards and this tradition of decorating the reverse of the spoon handle has persisted until the present day as you can see on the photographs.  Because the design is so simple and plain, it is still extremely popular as it also fits in with today's modern  and simple look.
