This pair of shabby chic antique French drapes date from around 1910.
They are the most luscious shade of rich golden caramel with soft ecru trims. They have a natural and neutral look and they could work well in either a period or more contemporary interior.
The bosy is caramel filee lace that is fluid and a good heavy weight.
Each side of the curtains is trimmed with intricate ecru crochet trim that features a loop design.
The bottom edges have luscious crochet and macrame fringes in soft ecru. The fringe is scalloped and full adding a perfect finish.
The top of each curtain has a linen sleeve to slide a curtain rod or pole however curtain rings could also be added if required.
They are elegant period drapes that hang so beautifully.
Each curtain measures:
Length including the fringe 8 feet 6" (259cms)
Width 3 feet 1" (94cms)
The curtains are good and strong and one drape has a repair commensurate with age but it certainly does not detract.
Chic, elegant and so tactile!
