A NICE LITTLE COLLECTION OF ‘BRETTLES SILK MENDING/DARNING THREAD’ – FOR VINTAGE STOCKINGS.
A little collection of seven vintage cards holding mending silk threads for the darning and repair of silk stockings. The threads are wrapped about a little card with ‘Brettle’s Kresto Silk Mending, Made in England’ in gold lettering to each. To the reverse of each card is the colour that the thread relates to. Two of ‘Newmarket’; two of ‘Glamour’; two of ‘Glow’ and one called ‘Roseberry’. The silks are in shades of browns – of natural light to medium natural stocking leg colours. Please see the photographs. The threads have not been used, both the cards and threads in excellent order.

CONDITION. Excellent, not used – as new, excellent condition to cards too.
MEASUREMENTS. Approximately 3 inches by 2 inches to the card, the silks have not been used and therefore there will be a good quantity on each card and will last a long time!
