In SETTLERS OF CATAN you control a group of settlers trying to tame the wilds on the remote but rich island of Catan. With the games great hexagonal tile system the island of Catan is randomly laid out each time you play so its many ports, mountains, hills, forests, plains and meadows create a different playing board for every game!

Your quest?

To guide your settlers to victory by cleaver trading and cunning development. Instead of money, you use a combination of resources - grain, wool, ore, brick and timber - to purchase development cards or build roads, settlements and cities. Acquire your resources through trades or the luck of the dice.

But beware! Someone might cut off your road or buy up everything...and you never know when the robber will appear and steal away with your precious gains!

Settlers of Catan 4th Edition brings new artwork and exciting additions to the actual game components to improve set-up time, organization and even board stability during play. First, a two sided interlocking sea frame, which cuts in half the time needed to set up the game board.  It also ensures that the board will stay firmly in place during the entire game. Second, a plastic tray has been added to hold the all game components in place and keep them organized for your next game and durable and high quality plastic dice are now included.
