THIS IS A SMARTPAD BY SEIKO.  IT IS A COMPUTERISED NOTEPAD THAT COMES IN A LEATHER ZIPPED CASE.
 
THIS IS NOT EXACTLY MY AREA OF EXPERTISE BUT I HAVE FOUND SOME INFORMATION ON SHOP.COM WHICH IS SHOWN BELOW.  THERE IS ALSO INFORMATION ON AMAZON.COM.
 
The Seiko Instruments SmartPad is a zippered notepad portfolio, which captures handwritten notes on an ordinary pad of paper and instantly sends them to your Palm Organizer via its infrared port. Using the enhanced SmartPad Palm applications, save your notes, drawings, and maps in any of the four major Palm applications. Using an optional modem and third party software, you can email your notes directly from your Palm.??The Package Contains SmartPad portfolio, SmartPad pen (with one AAAA battery installed), SmartPad pen refill cartridge with five ink refills, two (2) AAA batteries for the SmartPad portfolio, Quick Start Guide, SmartPad software for PC and Palm on CD-ROM, two (2) standard 5" x 8" ruled paper pads.
 
AS THIS ONE IS USED IT ONLY HAS ONE PAD WITH IT.
