Our traditional detached stone cottage is located right on the seafront in a peaceful conservation area of the small fishing town of Buckie on the North-East coast of Scotland, offering panoramic views across the Moray Firth.  'Taigh Na Mara' (home by the sea) offers quality self-catering accommodation for up to 6 guests.

Located right on the seafront on a quiet road, well away from heavy traffic, yet within a 5 minute walk of the small town centre with all the usual amenities: shops, takeaways, banks etc., Buckie is an ideal base for exploring the beauty of this area of Scotland with easy access to skiing in the Cairngorms, Royal Deeside, the whisky trails, historic castles, fishing, golf and so much more.  There are local boat trips from Buckie Harbour offering a chance to spot Dolphins, Whales or Seals which abound along this coastline and can often be seen from the cottage.  For the walkers/hikers there are numerous clifftop walks close by offering stunning scenery together with wide sandy beaches nearby.  There is a small park area for children just a few minutes walk from the cottage.

Accommodation comprises: Double bedroom on the GROUND floor together with NEW downstairs bathroom, comfortable lounge area adjoining dining area and fully equipped kitchen.  1 x Twin-bedded room on the first floor with comfortable double sofa-bed in the large upper lounge area (7m x 4m) providing spectacular views out to sea, from where you can view the magnificent sunsets, dolphins, seals and many & varied sea birds resing on the rocks just outside the cottage.  (All rooms have sea views).  The cottage is well equipped providing 2 TVs with Freeview, DVDs, Stereo/tape/CD player.  

Fresh bed linen & towels are supplied.  A Cot and High Chair can be supplied on request at no extra charge. All Heating and fuel is included.
