256K MEMORY EXPANSION
For the Sam Coupé computer



This Buy-It-Now item is a brand new 256K Memory upgrade for the Sam Coupé computer.

This upgrade will increase the RAM of very early 256K Sam Coupe's to the standard 512K.

When the Sam was launched in 1989 it was available with 256K or 512K, but by early 1990 512K became the standard and as such just about every piece of software from 1990 onwards will require 512K. So if you have an early 256K Sam then this memory upgrade is for you!

(There are still often 256K SAMs listed on eBay so if you happen to snap one up then this memory upgrade is highly recommended so you can use the vast range of SAM software! If you are also upgrading then I do have new disk drives and a lot more hardware and software available - see my website at www.samcoupe.com!)

This memory expansion fits under the unscrewable panel on the base of the Sam, and can be easily fitted in minutes - all you will need is a posidrive or phillips screwdriver to remove the small panel and then plug this module to the connector inside. I do provide full fitting instructions with this item.

(Please note that this item is only for Sam's with 256K memory - The amount of memory you have fitted to your SAM Coupe will be displayed on the screen when it is turned on / reset).

Quazar - Celebrating 15 Years of Developing for the SAM Coupé!

I founded Quazar back back in 1995 when I released my first piece of hardware for the SAM Coupe - the Quazar Surround soundcard. Over the years I have now designed and released a vast range of hardware and software for the SAM, as well as releasing a regular magazine. SAM Revival is a printed magazine with an accompanying cover disk of software and aims to be packed full of all the latest SAM Coupé news, interesting features, articles and interviews, catering for everything SAM related. Currently on issue 22, the first issue launched back in August 2002 and has grown from strength to strength, being read by SAM users in 20 countries.
