This sale is for a superb vintage hardback FIRST EDITION entitled “The Wind is Free,” by Frank Wightman, with an introduction by Lawrence G. Green, and EIGHTEEN vintage photographic and other illustrations, including a COLOUR frontispiece, and with endpaper maps.

It was published by Howard B. Timmins of Cape Town and George Allen & Unwin, Limited, of London, and is the undated circa 1949 FIRST EDITION.

A cruise in "Wylo" - a 34ft yawl designed by the author - from Capetown to the Caribbean (Trinidad) in 1947.
