1 in 3 people in the UK will develop Cancer at some time in their life.......... That is such a frightening statistic..........  Sadly, I and many of my family & friends have been affected by that statistic.
 
A very very dear friend of mine is awaiting a double mastectomy & other major surgery but she has entered herself into the "Race for Life 2008" to raise funds for Cancer Research UK!!!!!         It is an annual event - 5km - for females only and the money goes direct to Cancer Research UK.      
Unfortunately I'm not well enough after my own medical treatments to enter the Race for Life with Ree & her youngest daughter, so instead I am helping to make her fancy dress outfits and raise sponsorship for them both.
