This is a Russian Miniature Lacquer Box. Decorated with a delightful scene of figures sitting in a stylized woodland scene, all set on a black ground with rich gilt highlights. The interior is a contrasting red. Please Note - It measures 3.25 inches in diameter and 0.75 inches in height (8cm x 1.5cm).
The condition is Excellent, very minute wear. The box is signed and dated 1995, and the base is signed 'Made in Russia'.
