A good large lithograph by much collected artist, Roy Botting. Roy Botting studied drawing at the Royal Academy Schools in the mid 1930s. He had a brief spell in the RAF before he was invalided out of active service and spent the rest of the war as a war artist. After the war he spent several years living abroad. He was an Associate of the Royal College of Art. He died in 1999.
This linocut monotype measures 8" x 10" and is accompanied by a sheet detailing in Botting's handwriting 'A monotype Print / To be mounted / RG Botting / 1060's. It therefore has a signed accompanying sheet. Fascinating image.
