RORY McILROY
McIlroy turned professional in 2007 after winning the silver medal for leading amateur player at the Open Championship at Carnoustie. He has started well in his pro career with a 3rd place finish in the Alfred Dunhill Links and 4th at the Madrid Open. His first professional win came when he won the Dubai Desert Classic on 1st February 2009, this win took him to 16th in the world rankings. He looks sure to be a European Tour and Ryder Cup star for many years to come.
