Rolling Stone UNCENSORED HISTORY Hunter S Thompson 1990

    Rolling Stone and Hunter Thompson do go hand in hand.  The Doc wrote an awful lot of articles over the years for this magazine.  There is an entire chapter devoted to Hunter and in the index there are 50 seperate listings that have some mention or relation to Dr. Thompson.  There are short quotes or stories through out the book telling crazy things Hunter said or did.  The book mentions early writings and where they were published (various magazines etc). There are 6 pages of photos, 1 early prom group portrait & 1 with George McGovern plus his photo on the back of the DJ.  Rolling Stone would have never been the same without Hunter.  I was looking in the Rolling Stone Memorial  (AU) issue for Hunter & there's a photo of him standing in his kitchen, & a copy of this book is right on his counter top. 

  Overall condition of the dustcover is very good.  No folds or long heavy creases in the DJ, no rips, no tears, no holes, no chips or chunks missing.  The dustjacket has pretty good gloss - no stains, no heavy grime, no harsh scrapes or gouges.  There is shelfwear - the back panel has rubbing (in the black areas), there are random light lines & surface marks & a few mild scuffs.  The bottom corner tip edges have small push marks.  The Dj's edges do have small impressions & thin rubs & little marks, they show some wear.  The spine ends are crimped.  The front inside flap has a small corner crease.  Retains it's price, has not been clipped, no remainder marks.  Overall condition of the book is very good.  Interior is clean & complete.  No torn or missing pages.  There's a small pencil number on the title page.  The pages are pretty fresh - no scary stains, no water damage, no heavy age tone or spots.  I don't see any big page folds, no writing or underlining.  There is nothing clipped out that I could find.  The boards & binding are tight, the hinges are solid, no loose pages, no binding issues.  The corners all have some signs of shelfwear - either small lines or small impressions.  The front bottom board edge has a impression mark, there's a few little surface marks on the edges.  The bottom spine end cloth has some mild rub wear.  The closed page edges are clean - no foxing, no big stains or heavy smudges.  All the edges have some surface lines or bruise marks or little indents or rubs.  It's nothing scary just normal signs of age.  This is a 19 year old book, has some signs of use & shelfwear, some blemishes, it's somewhat to be expected.  Is in pretty decent overall shape.  All that said?
