Rolleiflex Automat MX, Opton Tessar, cap, superb cond.

Rolleiflex Automat MX,  with f/3.5 75mm  Zeiss Opton Tessar in Synchro-Compur shutter speeded 1 second to 1/500th plus B and delayed action. The camera is complete with Rollei chrome hinged lens cap. The Rolleiflex produces 12 6x6 images in colour or monochrome on standard 120 film. 

As the photographs show, the camera is in overall super condition and has obviously been owned by a careful amateur. The camera is fully operational. All the shutter speeds are working. Delayed action works correctly and the focusing movement is smooth and positive. The automatic sensing device that activates the frame counter when the film is loaded, is operating correctly.

Leather covering is clean and fresh, as is the enamel trim. The aluminium trim is bright and clean shows no sign of oxidation. There are some wear marks on the strap lugs and on a lower back corner.

The Automats were favoured by commercial photographers and, as a result, many show the results of hard use in all weathers. The  condition of this one shows that it has obviously been amateur owned and well looked after.
