ROLEX OYSTER ELEGANTE PRECISION - MANUAL WIND (c1943)



A little bit about me: I am an experienced watch collector of many years but have decided to sell some of my vintage watches as I find I am not wearing them and currently prefer to wear more modern watches. All the watches I will be selling over the next few weeks have been sourced through many years of dedicated watch collecting.

I have decided to run each auction as a 'No Reserve' auction and base the starting price on what I originally paid for the watch. I feel that running auctions in this manner is more in the spirit of eBay rather than having them at a fixed 'Buy It Now' price. Please examine my 100% positive feedback and be assured that I am a genuine seller.




Watch Description


Very nice Rolex Oyster Elegant in terrific condition with original silver dial, blued steel hands & winding crown. This model was only made for the Canadian market.


Gold-filled case with stainless steel back in very good condition and showing very little sign of wear-through (only just visible on the edges of the lugs) - this is quite common with these vintage gold-capped models. Original 'Oyster Patent' winding crown is retained and hasn't been replaced.


Case dimensions are 30mm in diameter (34mm including winding crown), 10mm thick and 36mm lug to lug.


Beautiful, original silver dial with luminescent Arabic numerals and outer minute track. Dial is signed 'Rolex Oyster Elegante' and has the familiar Rolex coronet at 12 o'clock. Sub-seconds dial at 6 o'clock has 'Precision' written around the top section.


Dark brown leather strap with complementing gold-filled buckle.


The completely original, Rolex signed movement is in good working condition and keeps excellent time. This is a manual winding watch.
