This is a combination of the highly acclaimed Roland TD8 brain which, alone, sells for £400+ these days and a pro-quality set of Jobeky 10 and 8 inch mesh head drums and cymbals, making it on par - if not better - than the original TD8 kit. It has sat in our music room as a practice kit and was bought principally for my son to play with headphones and for me to practice on occasionally - I'm a semi-pro drummer and wanted a high quality kit that would give me realistic levels of response etc. It has never been gigged or moved around, apart from being boxed up in a recent house move. We tend just to use acoustic drums now and we no longer have room for so many kits, so it's time for these electronic drums to find a new home. They would make a perfect Christmas present for anyone from a beginner to a serious user who needs to keep noise levels down with headphones. I won't list all of the TD8 features - you can find them here: http://www.rolandus.com/products/productdetails.php?ProductId=231 The TD8 was the second from top of the line Roland brain and I've seen them used in many household name bands on long tours - it's a serious piece of kit. The UK hand built Jobeky kit has 2 x 8 inch "Classic" mesh head drums for toms 1 & 2 and a pair of their 10 inch "Chrome" drums for snare and tom 3 - bigger and more usable sizes you didn't get as standard with the TD8 kit. The snare drum is the dual sensor version for rim shots and better sensitivity. The kick-drum assembly also uses an 8 inch Classic mesh head drum. The 3 cymbals are standard Jobeky cymbals without choke function - you could upgrade these, as I once thought of doing, but actually these work just fine unless you want to use a kit for serious live performance work. The latest chrome drums can be found here: http://www.jobekydrums.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=55&Itemid=72 Jobeky are a very friendly company and the backup behind their products is outstanding. The kit also comes with a Jobeky hi-hat pedal, a Tama kick-drum pedal, all cables, Roland mains adapter, complete metal rack with clamps and a drum key - everything you need to be up and running. Condition-wise, I'd say it was excellent. There are a few tiny scratches where the bottom braces and clamps meet the tubes - nothing you'd notice with the kit set up and the tiniest little nick on the brain - but too small to show on the photo. I'm noting this only as I'm very picky. The condition reflects a very carefully looked after kit used lightly in a tidy and fastidiously cleaned house! The Jobeky setup sheet is included. The TD8 manual can be downloaded freely at: http://roland.co.uk/products/productdetails.aspx?p=231&tab=Downloads Do please contact me with any questions. There is no reserve and the starting price, I think, is fantastic value - the same functionality in a new Roland kit would cost in excess of £1500. Delivery is charged at cost - ParcelForce 48. Insurance can be added at £4 for up to £500 compensation and £8 for up to £1000 compensation. The kit will be very carefully individually wrapped in one or two packing boxes. Payment by Paypal, cleared cheque or bank transfer (preferred) please. Happy Bidding! |
