You get to be Rocky at all the points in his fighting development (except the old man stage in "Rocky Balboa"), fight all the opponents, including Carl Weathers as Apollo Creed, Mr T as Clubber Lang and Dolph as the big Russian chap.  The music kicks in at the right places and you take a perverse pleasure in seeing the faces swell up and get cut - a strange visceral cathartic pleasure!
