Here is an aircheck (an actual radio broadcast) of a somewhat forgotten figure in early Rock and Roll -- Mad Daddy Pete Myers. Those that don't know the Mad Daddy he was the DJ that took over the time slot of Alan Freed when Freed left Cleveland's Rock and Roll Premiere radio station of WJW, for the big time in New York. Mad Daddy is known best by his crazy manic laugh and delivery playing local favorite tunes along with the national rock and roll hits and playing dedications. If you love Doo Wop and early Rock and Roll and Rockin' R&B - You will definetly have a trip down memory lane with this vintage uncut and unedited broadcast of Mad Daddy Pete Myers.
Mad Daddy later broke his contract with WJW in Cleveland later in that year and proceeded to go to WHK and then later sometime in the early 60's Pete Myers also left Cleveland for New York and was on WINS Radio. Pete sadly took his own life back in 1968.

This recording is approximately 54 minutes in length. And we digitally re mastered it at our studios here at Rock-it Radio. In this recording it is also interesting to note that Mad Daddy Pete Myers rhymed all his sentences stating that the FCC forces him too. Also, several dedications and announcements to all the kids out there in Cleveland thruout the recording as well along with some great early Rock and Roll and Doo Wop Music.
