Adam and Burt (playing themselves) are out to find the villain who has stolen the batmobile and during their time together they remember all about how the show came about, developed and finally ended, not to mention how they themselves were changed by the show. This reminiscing is done by the aid of flashbackss with a couple of actors playing the young Burt and Adam, and a lot of period detail. Its very cleverly done and fascinating viewing, not least because the chemistry is still there between Adam and Burt and they obviously had so much fun with this reunion special, it shines through on screen! There are so many in-jokes and Burt/Adam are such good sports, playing along with the jokes 100%.
Its also very informative, find out why Burts tights (or what was in them) caused so much controversy at the time, what exactly WAS in Batmans utility belt and why there was so much muttering about the relationship between Batman and the boy wonder. The actors playing the young Burt and Adam are fantastic, and its hard to think a better choice could have been made, most convincing.
