This is a recommended read for any sports/physical education or sports science student. I used this book from year 1 through to year 3, and referenced from it on several occasions. It covers the following topics

  • Conceptual Methods
  • Selecting the appropriate research design
  • undertaking a literature review
  • using a range of key research methods such as questionnaires, interviews, content analysis and ethnographic studies
  • interpreting your data, including guides to descriptive and inferential statistics
  • writing a research report

This was a life saver for my dissertation as it is easy to understand whilst being thorough.
