COLLECTION OF WAR TIME DOCUMENTS

I'm really no expert in this field! So I'll try and describe these items as best I can...I've also taken lots of photos below which I hope will help! But please feel free to drop me a line with any questions at all :)

These documents are all related to a building in Tavistock called The Manor House which appears to have been owned by Mathews, 5 The Terrace, The Hoe, Plymouth. There is lots of info about when it was requisitioned during WW2.

Included in this auction:

  • 1944 Abstract of Title of The Representatives Mrs.A.B.Mathews to Manor House, Tavistock (Chilcott & Pearse Solicitors, Tavistock)

  • Schedule of the state of REPAIR & CONDITION of The Manor House Tavistock
    as Requisitioned by the War Department. Record made 7th October 1940 (Ward & Chowen Surveyors, Tavistock)

  • Southern Command Schedule No.P/352 (x2)

  • Form of Requisition dated 7.10.40

  • Report on Inspection of Electrical installation from 14th October 1940, carried out by Drake & Gorham

    All in all a really fascinating piece of history that I genuinely hope some-one here on eBay will treasure and enjoy!
