These batteries have been tested in an FM Recorder 20, on continuous play for 15 hours and 45 minutes on a single charge! Answer: It depends on which STATE OF CHARGE is specified on the battery label. Both the original battery and this battery are 3.7 volts in the NON CHARGED state. Both the original battery and this battery are 4.2 volts in the FULLY CHARGED state. The original battery label gives 4.2 volts - the fully charged voltage. This replacement battery gives 3.7 volts - the non charged voltage.

Question 2: my Archos charger states 5.0 volts Output. Why are the batteries only 3.7 or 4.2 volts?
Answer: The hard disk and other components use an OUTPUT 5.0 volts +/- 0.15V. A voltage step-up converter in Archos Jukebox gives 5.0 volts with Li-ion batteries with NOMINAL voltages labeled either as 3.7 volts or 4.2 volts.

Question 3: my Archos Jukebox 20 battery specification says its 2200mAh but this replacement battery says on the label 2800mAh. Why the difference?
