Rollei Battery's Upgrading Replacement Pack, NiMH cells

When Rollei 6000 system was announced in 1983, the battery technology is very different from today. Its rechargeable battery uses SANYO 500mAh NiCd cells. Today, NiMH cells of 1600mAh capacity are available, which support high current operation as the Rollei 6000 system requires. After upgrading, the power improvement is significant, for example, on a 6008AF with 80mm AF lens under normal use, you can take up to 1,000 shots vs. the original 350 shots.

The upgrade is just rebuilding the battery by replacing the older cells with modern NiMH equivalents. Stellardesign makes that 2/3A size 1.2V 1600mAh NiMH cells pack (8 cells) for your own rebuilding. You will receive the battery pack ONLY, the Rollei battery cassette in the pictures is NOT included. NiMH charge, such as Maha MH-C777 is recommended, though that NiMH battery can be charged with Rollei Charger N.
