Kenwood KDC-5080R FPC Failure "No Display" |
One of the most common faults on the Kenwood KDC-5080R is for the Fascia FPC to fail causing one of a number of faults as described below.
If the display does not light up, the buttons do not function correctly or if the stereo appears as if it is totally dead, then the cause is probably down to a failure of the FPC which will need to be replaced.
As a quick diagnostic check, press the reset button or remove the power plug for a few seconds, refit it again, and see if any motors start whirring away in the background, if they do, chances are the FPC is indeed faulty, and if the unit remains quiet and dead, then something a little more serious may be at fault.
This fixed price repair is for the FPC Replacement only, and if any other faults are found, or the unit has been tampered with, then we reserve the right to provide an estimate for any additional work that may be required.
