Reiki is pronounced ray-key which means universal life energy.

Usui Reiki is broken mainly three parts sometimes four.  Each Reiki Master teaches slightly differently. There is no right or wrong way. I teach how I was taught and that is in three parts.  Reiki First Degree, Reiki Second Degree, finally Reiki Master/Teacher. 

Reiki is secular enlightenment system as well as a re-balancing system developed by Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 1900’s. It is not attached to any religion and no belief system is needed.

Reiki is a non-invasive treatment to bring about well being and balance to all things.  As a Reiki Practioner you are simply a channel for our universal energy, which acts as a healing energy. You are not giving any of your own energy resources when giving a treatment, so you should never feel drained or tired.  The energy is exchanged from practitioner to recipient via a series of hand positions. 

A Reiki treatment can be carried out with the client lying down on a couch/bed, or sat upright in a supportive chair. 

Reiki is not a massage the recipient remains fully clothed at all times. 

Your certificate enables you to gain insurance for practice.  

Reiki has become a very popular therapy and as well as being able to help others Reiki first and foremost helps you!  For many it is the beginning of a very spiritual journey.
