Regency Mahogany Doulton Burslem China Table Washstand

Description:
This is a really fabulous quality Regency period early 19th Century two drawer carved scrolled and turned leg washstand in good patinated original condition.  The washstand comes complete with later "Royal Doulton" "Doulton Burslem" "Gloire de'Dijon" pair of bowls, matching jug and toothbrush holder having a lovely green rose pattern with gilt highlighting.  The washstand itself stands on turned tapering legs with two frieze drawers over with figured mahogany drawer fronts and original turned knobs with solid mahogany drawer linings with pine drawer bottoms.  Rising over this is a figured mahogany lower shelf rising above which are the turned columns supporting the classic plain frieze.  Above is the washstand top with two cut-outs for the bowls and a lovely scrolled high splash-back gallery back with classic Regency design scrollwork to the sides with carved gadrooning.

Date:
The washstand dates circa 1830 - the Doulton Burslem ware dated circa 1891 - 1902.

Condition:
The washstand is in very nice condition, having some distressing to the finish, with some odd water marks and ink marks only adding to character and authenticity.  The stoneware is all in good condition with no chips or cracks, having minor wear to the gilding, with some crazing to the glazing.
