amazing details- see the

appliqued circles to the opening edges, and the

contrasting underlay, seen through the open punched pattern on the upper. The stitching is tiny, and beautifully sraight. Toe shape is long with a gently squared off point,and a slight turn upwards at the end, giving an  almost Elizabethan  elegance.

The heels are beautifully sculpted, with finely

squared edges and a distinct little flare at the floor, and are set well-in under the foot, giving a good sense of balance in wear.

And finally, those wonderful mauve soles, giving just the merest hint of a rebellious independence!
