Are you into recycling? Even if you're not, you're bound to appreciate this necklace and earrings. They are handmade from the rubber of discarded and lost flip flops! The pendant is on a leather cord that can be tied to the desired length (up to 36 inches). The earrings are hook backed and include beads for an extra bit of interest. Each comes with an information card and in a small mesh bag.

Thousands of discarded flip-flops wash up on the African shoreline from the Indian Ocean. This indestructible rubber creates an environmental disaster for the marine ecosystem as it spoils the natural beauty of the beaches, is mistakenly swallowed by marine feeders, and prevents hatching turtles reaching the safety of the sea. Realizing that this flotsam brings a limitless resource to coastal communities in Kenya, UniqEco works with locals to collect and recycle discarded waste. The flipflops are collected, sorted, matched, and then carved into beads which are artistically combined in this practical piece of portable art. Returns and Refunds

Returns are happily (okay, just politely) accepted. Please contact us first, so we know to look for it. Then repackage the item carefully, and ship it back in any way that is easiest for you. Once it arrives, we will inspect it, and if it is in original condition, we will then refund the price paid, minus shipping, in the same manner in which it was paid.

Please note that the item must get to us in original condition and within 14 days of purchase for us to be able to honor the refund policy!
