Reclaimed Lumber & Antiques, circa 1800-1900
Old Growth Wood
Barns - Cabins - Factories - Buildings
This beautiful Reclaimed Classic Oak Mix flooring adds a distinctive element of character and class to any room. Whether your decor is antique and rustic or modern and minimal, this floor brings out the best in your design. The wood's unique stress cracks and original saw marks, along with aging patina (surface color and sheen) are impossible to recreate using a “new” flooring product.
Our reclaimed lumber comes from the mountains of Appalachia -- the original timbers fell in the lush forests stretching from North Carolina up to Pennsylvania Amish country. We are proud to provide you with this stunning "old growth" wood that dates back from the late 1700s through the early 20th century -- it's a piece of history!
This particular flooring choice uses a mixture of three woods -- we primarily use White American Oak (approx. 75%), with a balance of Red American Oak, then just a dash of Wormy Chestnut. The reddish orange tones of red oak complement the gold and light brown hues of the white oak, making this floor a classic choice. Left unstained, this delightful mix of reclaimed wood has a broad range of colors which adds unique charm to the floors. Check our other listings, or call to inquire about our variety of wood faces for the Classic Oak Mix -- we offer smooth-milled, original face, or "hit-and-miss" (approximately 80% smooth, 20% original saw marks). This particular listing shows pictures of our smooth-faced Classic Oak Mix.
Current eBay Listing:
You are bidding on one (1) square foot of material; list price is the unit price for (1) square foot.
As-is -- We kiln-dry our wood to 8% moisture, but generally limit any other processing and finishing unless you request it.
Our Standard -- We pride ourselves on preserving our wood's integrity, authenticity and character. We are happy to craft the wood to fit your project specifications; for example, inquire about our sanding, pre-finishing and finishing, and additional protective sealant options. We also offer a wide variety of stain applications. These options are provided for a small additional charge - just ask us about the possibilities!

STEVE'S NOTE: This particular product is very special. The material is one-of-a-kind with its distinct heritage and classic features. This old wood was harvested from old structures and buildings, and still shows beautiful signs of its prior life. The previous signs of wear add to the wood's classic beauty and antique status, but don't worry, we are careful that the strength and quality of the wood has not been compromised.
