The NP-RTL8169 Gigabit Ethernet Copper Adapter is an extension of the widely used 1000/100/10Mbps Ethernet standards for network connectivity. Gigabit Ethernet Adapters are 100 times faster than Ethernet and 10 times faster than Fast Ethernet. It provides a tenfold increase in Media Access Control data rates to support video conferencing, complex imaging and other data intensive applications.
