This SD/MMC card reader is proven to work - see picture below (a 2gb card was used for testing - not included in this auction).

Note 1: this reader is a generic item: drivers are not required for use with Vista.

Note 2: this reader is hi-speed capable (otherwise it wouldn't work with Readyboost!). Hi-speed means a raw data rate of up to 480Mbps.

Note 3: This reader does not carry the hi-speed USB logo. But it has been tested and will work at Hi-speed rates (otherwise it wouldn't work with Readyboost!).

One last thing ... Readyboost is a Vista-only feature - don't expect to run Readyboost on any other operating system!

General Notes about USB2 / Hi-speed devices

To ensure Readyboost will work on your Vista PC you must have a Hi-speed USB 2 .0 socket / port / hub. This isn't a new technology, it's been around for years ... the testing was done on a 3 year old Socket 478 motherboard!!!
