Art Nouveau / Arts and Crafts Copper and Brass Three Legged Vase by Fisher Strand Circa 1900 (1890-1900)

An interesting Art Nouveau/Arts and Crafts period copper and brass vase. The legs are solid brass originally made in two pieces and joined down a centre line. There is no makers mark or design number but as this vase is larger but identical in form to the vase illustrated below, I am attributing it to Fisher Strand, if you know different, please contact me.

A smaller version of this vase, at 6 inches high, is illustrated in Millers Art Nouveau and Art Deco Buyers Guide 1995 and fourteen years ago was valued at £50-80...See last photo below

Please Note this vase is 8 1/4 inches (210mm) high....the opening accross the copper ring inside, below the the flared rim, measures 3 1/8th inches approx (79.5mm approx), the internal depth from the inside base to the internal copper ring measures a touch under 6 1/2 inches (165mm approx)

Excellent condition commensurate with age and careful use with a couple of very light small dents and some extreemly superficial scratches to the side. One of the brass legs is detached at one point just above the base edge but tight. There are traces of metal polish and a little tarnishing to the brass where it joins the copper at the base edge and a little tarnishing to the base and the vase will darken slowly between polishing.
