Grundig C100 L cassette recorder
   

 This is a rare machine, I have only seen a few of these unusual Grundig cassette recorders, possibly a rival to the Philips cassette we all know, this system never took off and few y few units were made. The machine takes larger than ordinary cassettes , this is not a dictation machine as per many of the Grundig cassette devices but a cassette machine designed to be used as a portable music device.

 I have installed batteries (Which are not included in this sale) and the recorder does play the tape but the output is very low and the hiss is very high, the tape looks ready to be thrown away, being 1/8" inch, replacement tape from a cassette may be suitable as a replacement and may improve the audio performance. As this recorder is not working correctly it is sold as seen with no returns.
