Please note that your item may be disassembled for shipping. We do our best to ship each piece in the safest, most economical way possible, and this sometimes involves taking things apart.

For the most part, there are three different ways your piece can be shipped. Please consult the listing to determine the default method of shipping.
Greyhound Package Express:
This is a very economical, safe way to ship medium sized pieces.
Only pieces with dimensions less than 30” x 47” x 82" after packaging, and that weigh less than 100 lbs, can be sent via Greyhound.
Shipping with Greyhound requires that you or an agent pick the package up from the Greyhound station.
Some stations offer local delivery, some do not. Call 800-739-5020 to find out if yours does. If your station does not offer home delivery, we can usually arrange to have the package delivered to your home via another local delivery service. This will usually add an additional $50-75 to the cost of shipping.
Greyhound will hold your package for up to 3 days, after that they may assess a $2/day storage fee.
Packages shipped with Greyhound can only be insured for $300 per package. Additional insurance can be purchased from a variety of sources, try www.ramonins-usa.com or www.u-pic.com.
Providing additional insurance on Greyhound shipments, if desired, is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
Packages shipped with Greyhound are NOT trackable. It usually takes packages 1-2 weeks to cross the country, although it CAN TAKE LONGER. We CANNOT guarantee the timeliness of packages shipped with Greyhound Package Express. However, we have NEVER had a package get lost.
Blanket Wrap Freight:
The best (and sometimes ONLY) way to ship large pieces of furniture.
We use Gary Lewis Trucking for most shipments up and down the west coast. Deliveries start at $175 for residential addresses and $125 for commercial addresses, and go up from there. Email us for an exact quote if one is not specified.
For other parts of the country, we use Plycon Van Lines. You can get an exact quote from them directly on their website: www.plycongroup.com. Generally, single piece shipping is between $350-450.
Expect that it will be 3-4 weeks from time of purchase before your piece is delivered to you if it is shipped via freight.
Pieces shipped this way are automatically insured for 100% of their value.
Fedex:
An economical way to ship small and medium sized packages.
Pieces are automatically insured for their full value.

Having said that, here are the descriptors that we use to describe the condition of our pieces:
Excellent - Vintage
The piece is in virtually "like new" condition. There might be a few minor scratches, but nothing significant.
Very Good - Vintage
The piece may have some minor finish issues, but probably does not warrant refinishing or reupholstering.
Good - Vintage
The piece has some obvious flaws and probably could be refinished or reupholstered, but is useable as-is.
Excellent - Refinished
The piece has been refinished or reupholstered and has no significant flaws to report.
Very Good - Refinished
The piece has been refinished, but still retains some flaws.
