I'm a lifelong supporter and Season Ticket Holder at Celtic Park and a serious collector of Celtic related clothing and Celtic memorabilia stretching as far back as the 1980's. My collection consists of Player Issue shirts , shorts , socks , tracksuits , authentic signed shirts , replica shirts , shirts worn on Special One Off Matches , Training gear and hundreds of other Celtic related products. Approximately 95% of my goods have came direct from Celtic , all such items are original / authentic and are new or Brand New With Tags. I also sell other bona fide football club Player Issue shirts etc.
PRODUCT AUTHENTICITY All of my Celtic Player Issue Scottish Football League , Scottish Premier League , Scottish Cup , Scottish Tennent's Cup , Scottish League Cup , Scottish Co-operative League Cup , UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup / UEFA Europa League Player Issue shirts are fitted with the genuine Lextra / Chris Kay / Sporting ID Name & Number Sets and armpatches. - I would never buy , use or apply any of the cheap Far East fake armpatches presently swamping Ebay. I only deal with the genuine products. I don't issue Certificates Of Authenticity as they aren't worth the paper they are written on.
ITEM DESCRIPTION
"Celtic jerseys are not for second best, they don't shrink to fit inferior players" - Jock Stein The item listed for sale is a genuine authentic Nike manufactured , Celtic , Bank Of Scotland , Scottish Premier League , Player Issue , Two Tone Grey , Goalkeepers shirt which was match prepared for our World Class and legend Goalkeeper Artur Boruc. This shirt originates from our incredibly successful 2006-2007 season in which we won our back to back league titles ( Second of our present In A Row run ) , Scottish Cup and progressed to the Champions League Knock Out Stages for the very first time in our history where we unluckily lost 1-0 on aggregate to the eventual Champions - AC Milan. This shirt on offer was prepared for Artur Boruc in the early part of the 2006 - 2007 League campaign which he duly signed in my own presence at the Celtic Shop , Argyle Street , Glasgow two years ago during one of his rare signing sessions ( I can confirm the the exact time and date if required ). ARTUR BORUC Artur Boruc is quite simply the greatest Celtic Goalkeeper I've ever had the genuine honour of watching in a Celtic jersey in 3 decades of attending Paradise. The man strutts his stuff within the penalty area which he commands like no other. A phenomenal goalkeeper who regularly saves penalties and continually defies the odds with some miraculous saves when he's rarely called upon. Viewed by many as one of the top 5 International and Club Goalkeepers in World football and consistenly being voted as one of , if not THE best keepers whilst representing the Polish National side in World Cup and European Championship Finals. On October 20, 2008, Artur Boruc was included as one of 55 players (including 5 goalkeepers) shortlisted for the FIFPro World XI Awards. Boruc ( Actually pronounced Boruts ) was one of Gordon Strachan's first signings when Celtic signed him in July 2005 from Polish side Legia Warsaw for a reportedly farcical sum of £650,000. Artur was given the nod over David Marshall for Celtic's third game of the 2005-2006 season and has never looked back. It could be argued that Brouc is our only World Class and most important player in the present squad. Boruc penalty saves are almost countless but two particular Champions League nights stand out :- On 21st November 2006, Celtic had to beat Manchester United at Celtic Park in a Champions League Group Stage match to help reach the knock out stages for the very first time in our history. Nakamura scored the goal of the competition from one of his traditional free kicks against Manchester United and we'd only 60 seconds left of normal time to hold out when the referee awarded Manchester United another soft penalty. It was the 89th minute and we had no chance of recording a victory unless Boruc could save the kick. Up stepped Louis Saha who must have felt the loneliest person in the world. Saha took the kick and Boruc saved it as usual. Celtic Park erupted to Boruc's heroics which also signalled the beginning of the end for Saha's career at United. Then in the following season , Celtic were drawn against the superb Russian Champions , Spartak Moscow in the Champions League , 3rd Round Qualifying tie. The tie ended evens after both legs and the massive Champions League Payout hinged on a nervewracking penalty kick shoot out at Celtic Park. Artur saved not one but two penalties to secure Celtic's pot of gold for a second season on the trot. Those 3 penalty kick saves alone have earned Celtic around £20 Million in Champions League money. Boruc is simply in a class of his own and t he Celtic legend is loved by kids and adult's alike for his heroics in the penalty box and it must be said by the odd female for his looks. This listing is for a genuine , rare opportunity , to obtain not only one of Arturs rare Player Issue shirts ( Which displays all the usual differences compared to replica shirts ) but equally important decorated with the legends signature on the rear of the shirt. This shirt probably represents a serious investment for future years as Boruc is now on course to become our most successful goalkeeper in terms of League Titles and Cup Winners medals in our glorious history. This shirt should really be framed and kept in pristine condition.
