Welcome Again Tile Buffs ~ Here is another example of one of MINTONS CHINA WORKS' earliest Tile series ~ From their 'RUSTIC FIGURES' set and they are usually in this colourway being dark brown ogainst a white ground ~ Taken from engravings that date pre 1840's ~ Mintons made these in limited editions from c1855 ~ This particular scene is called " A SEATED GIRL WITH GOAT AND KID". An attractive enough little patural scene ! ~ Fair condition and as can be seen some nibbling to the bottom edge, a chip to the top left corner ~ no significant surface wear and a perfectly respectable example ~ factory marks on the rear ~ Happy Bidding and GOOD LUCK!!
