Included in this Kit is:

• Standard Timing chain set.
• Genuine Land Rover Lifters.
• Standard Camshaft.

You may have noticed that there has been a big price increase, with this and all our other camshaft kit listings, even with our Piper High performance kits too, this is because we have of late experienced problems with a few non O/E Tappets, failing completely within 10 to 20 miles of engine running, and although there is no damage, there is a costly element involved with the replacement, especially on the Later V8 Fuel injected engines due the complexity of the intake system.

So untill all or indeed any of the renowned suppliers of lower cost non-genuine Camshaft followers can offer us the reassurance of 100% quality in addition to a full 'out of pocket warrenty proposal', that we can truly accept and pass on to you the consumer, we have decided we will no longer supply any tappets, other than Rover originals.

As you can imagine this was a tough decision as the Rover genuine items are at least 3 times the price of the many hundreds of thousands of tappets we have reliably supplied and built into our engines over the past 20 years.

Please then understand we have not increased our profit margins, we have increased through immediate necessity the specification as non original has become non reliable.

Timing chain set includes:
Both crankshaft and camshaft sprockets, and standard timing chain. The timing chain set is brand new.

Tappets/Lifters.
This is a set of 16 brand new (Genuine Land Rover) camshft followers/lifters (Hydraulic tappets) for the Rover V8 engine all capacities.

Rover V8 3.5/3.9 camshaft.
Brand new and ready to install. Suitable for fuel injection (EFi) or carburettor engines.

This camshaft, although specifically ground for the (fuel injected) EFi V8 engine, will, in our extensive experience, work just as well in all the many variants of Rover V8 Carburetor engines that Rover have produced spanning nearly 35 years. So whether you're using EFi, or fitting a pair of SUs, Strombergs, a Webber 500 or even quad Carburettor setups, this camshaft will, in our opinion, be suitable for all.

Land Rover have produced so many camshaft profiles through the years that it would be impossible to stock all variants, nor would it be an advantage, this is why we have the EFi spec. camshaft to work with the many carburettor systems.

These camshafts are designed for all Rover V8s from 1968 to 1995 (Non Gems/Thor systems).
