We are adding more and more items per week, and we are posting the start price in almost all cases with the VAT (17.5%) amount included, rather than on top of (added to) our normal prices, thus offering you the opportunity to save a considerable amount on your parts needs, whilst being secure in the knowledge of our 25 years' experience of the Rover V8 engine and all it involves, plus the considerable eBay status & reputation we enjoy. We only sell parts that are truly required for the V8 engine, thus the prices are a reflection of the quality and appropriateness of them. We could sell low cost V8 parts of inferior quality, but we chose not to right from the beginning.

This listing is for;
The kit consists of new drive gears, oil pump base and gasket.

Will it fit ?
It is suitable for all models 1976 - 1993 and it will also fit some '93 onward - please enquire.

Just why do we suggest replacing both the base and gears?
Its the best way to change/replace your oil pump. If you have removed your gears and have noticed scoring on them it is highly likely that the inside of your pump base is also scored. So just replacing the oil pump gears will leave the chance of swarf from the base to travel round the engine. Hence we suggest replacing the base and gears with these brand new ones.

Not sure if your engine is pre or post 1976? No problem... The simplest way to tell is to remove the distributor from the front timing cover and to look at the end of the drive shaft. If the distributor has a short gear with a male oil pump drive inside of it then you have the pre 1976 style engine. If once removed the distributor has the later drive gear on the end with a female oil pump drive (most noticable by the wobbly drive on the end of the gear) then you should be looking at our other oil pump listing.

Please note -- The above information is only relevant if your engine is pre 1993, in 1993 onwards the Rover V8 engine could also have the serpentine style fornt end (and ancillaries). Most noticable as the oil pump is no longer driven by the distributor, the design was revised and changed to a crank shaft driven oil pump. In this case the oil pump is contained within the front timing cover, these are available if required, please enquire.

Do you supply an electric oil pump for the Rover V8 engine?
We do not supply dry sumps or electric oil pumps as these would only be suitable for the highest race specification of engine.

We could make delivery a smidgen cheaper, but no one would ever thank us if their purchase, no matter how heavy or fragile, arrived crushed, split, fragmented, late or even not at all. What's more, insured against any possible unfortunate event too. Thus our postage quotes represent far more than just the cheapest postage possible..

Please contact/inform us if you feel you qualify for EEC VAT exemption, and, if appropriate, we will adjust your invoice to remove the EEC VAT content, plus raise appropriate export documentation if required.
Shipping	We ship/post to the UK, Europe & Worldwide (mostly by fastest surface or air mail), and include appropriate packaging - no matter how sophisticated your parcel, within our delivery/postage quotation. Adequate insurance is always included, unless otherwise specified. Furthermore, if you purchase multiple items, then the cumulative postage quotes will be adjusted downwards as appropriate.
Delivery	Stock items are invariably shipped within 48 hours of cleared funds (normally within 24 hours or same day).
